Aircast Air-Stirrup Plus Ankle Support Information

The Air-Stirrup Plus combines the clinically proven Air-Stirrup® Ankle Brace with an ankle wrap. In addition, a comprehensive instruction booklet is included with each Air-Stirrup Plus and provides information on treatment and rehabilitation - integral components of ankle sprain management.

Each Air-Stirrup Ankle Brace features anatomically designed shells lined with the patented Duplex aircell system. This exclusive system incorporates two pre-inflated overlapping aircells, distal and proximal, that produce graduated compression during ambulation.

The compression promotes efficient edema reduction in addition to helping accelerate rehabilitation. The ankle wrap adds the benefits of additional swelling control to speed recovery.

Sizing Chart

Because the Air-Stirrup braces are anatomically designed, please specify either a left or right brace when ordering.

  • Standard: Preferred for the acute injury with most adults. It is 10.5" (27cm) in length, provides the most support and offers the largest area of coverage for the recently injured ankle.
  • Training: Preferred for chronic instability with most adults. It is 9" (23cm) in length and offers support for the patient who has had an injury in the past and continues to suffer chronic ankle problems.
  • Small: Preferred for both acute and chronic instability of the ankle. It is 8.7" (22cm) in length and is intended for adults and young adults who are 5'2" and under.

Additional Information

Aircast Air-Stirrup Ankle Brace Supports, protects, and controls swelling. Ankle Wrap Provides additional circumferential compression to control swelling when used in conjunction with the Ankle Brace.
