Wrist Fractures
|
Wrist
fractures usually respond well to cast
immobilization or wrist brace immobilization. If the bones are out of position
(displaced), then a doctor can reset the fracture. This is called
"external reducing" a wrist fracture. When
someone breaks their wrist, they may break
any of a number of bones. The most common
types of wrist fractures are those involving
the scaphoid bone, and those involving a break of the end of the forearm bones.
