What is The Carpal Tunnel?

The carpal tunnel is a narrow passageway where the nine flexor tendons and median nerve pass through the wrist in order to supply function, feeling and movement to the thumb, index, middle and one-half of the ring finger.

The major cause of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a narrowing of the carpal tunnel due to a musculoskeletal imbalance between over and underused muscles in the hand and forearm.
