The DonJoy/ProCare MaxTrax Ankle Walker has shorter uprights provide comfortable stability for metatarsal fractures, bunionectomies, acute ankle sprains, and stress and stable fractures of the foot. Malleable uprights allow for proper fit. Low profile design, wider foot bed, and cushioned inner/outer sole for patient comfort.

Designed to increase stability and help reduce pain following trauma or post-operative procedures, the MaxTrax Ankle Walkers also provide a cost-effective option to casting.

X-Ray of an avulsion fracture of the base of the fifth metatarsal. This fracture occurs when the tip of the bone is pulled off the fifth metatarsal by the peroneal tendon that attaches to this area.

These fractures tend to heal easily in a cast, walking boot or surgical shoe and seldom require surgical treatment.
